Turkey Drive Tailgate: Football, Fellowship and Giving Back

Thanksgiving week kicked off with one of our favorite Sundays of the year. SoleTies Run Club and the community came together at Woodland Social for our annual Turkey Drive Tailgate — football on the big screens, tailgate-style food, and a whole lot of love poured into families across Houston.

The deal was simple: bring a frozen turkey or a $25 grocery gift card and you were in. What rolled in was anything but small. We dropped off frozen turkeys between 12 and 1 PM, then settled into the social from noon until 4 for football, food, and our gratitude wall — where the messages alone made the whole afternoon worth it. Every donation went directly to Star of Hope Mission in support of families across our city this holiday.

This is exactly the SoleTies we love — community, connection, and purpose. Thank you to everyone who came through, donated, watched the games with us, and reminded us what this season is really about. Huge thanks to Woodland Social for hosting, to Star of Hope Mission for the work they do every day, and to every member of the SoleTies family who showed up with a turkey, a gift card, or just a great attitude.
