Black Love Run: SoleTies x Nike x A Ma Maniére Bring Pegasus Premium Home to Houston

HOUSTON — May 30, 2025

SoleTies Run Club hosted the Black Love Run on Saturday at Texas Southern University, a sold-out collaboration with Nike Running and A Ma Maniére tied to the launch of the A Ma Maniére x Nike Pegasus Premium.

The afternoon brought together Nike Running Captains, TSU students and alumni, and the SoleTies community for a group run, warm-up, and post-run gathering on campus. The day's theme — "Timing Is Everything" — is the same line carried by the Pegasus Premium itself.

The Pegasus Premium, designed by A Ma Maniére founder James Whitner in collaboration with Nike, released online June 5 at 11 a.m. EST. Black Love Run participants got first looks at the shoe ahead of the public drop.

The partners

SoleTies Run Club is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in February 2025 by Robel Yemane, Ogechukwu Madu, Kiante Northington, and Jazzlin Hamilton. The club hosts four free weekly runs across Houston.

A Ma Maniére is an Atlanta-based brand and retailer founded by James Whitner. Recent Nike collaborations include the Pegasus Premium, the Air Jordan 3, and the Air Jordan 4.

Texas Southern University, Houston's historically Black university, served as the host campus for the run, warm-up, and post-event activations.
